Remove the thermometer from its protective box. Press the On/Off button. During an internal self-check, all indicators are displayed on the screen. The last temperature taken is then displayed for 5 seconds. The tip indicator flashes if a tip is required. To ensure accurate measurements, be sure to put on a clean, new Hygiene Cap tip before each use. Attach the tip by pushing the thermometer probe into the tip inside the box and then pulling out the thermometer.

Select the age using the Age Precision button. Press the button to move between age groups. Then insert the probe into the ear canal, directing it towards the opposite temple. The ExacTemp function confirms the stability and correct positioning of the probe by emitting a beep and activating an indicator light. Then press and release the Start button.

The ExacTemp indicator light flashes while taking a temperature. The indicator light remains steady for 3 seconds to indicate that the measurement is complete. If the probe was correctly inserted into the ear canal during the measurement, a long beep signals the end of the measurement. If the probe has not been placed correctly, a series of short beeps will sound, the ExacTemp indicator light will turn off, and the thermometer display will display an error message.

The confirmation beep signals that a specific temperature has been detected. The result is displayed on the screen. For the next measurement, press the eject button to remove and discard the tip, then install a new one. The thermometer automatically turns off after 60 seconds of inactivity.
