Sun protection for a summer of complete calm
In summer like winter, sun protection remains essential! Discover our vast range of sun protections, ranging from low factor protection to very high. In effect, Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is an indice which helps to determine the level of protection of a sun care produit against UVB rays, responsable for sunburn. This protection is represented in the form of a numerical indice (6, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 et 50+) that you can find on the product itself. The higher this number is, the strong the sun protection is.
Choose your sun protection factor based on your phototype, which corresponds to the sensitivity of your skin to UV rays. It helps to evaluate your ability to tan and to determine the sun protection most adapted to your skin.
- • If your hair is red or blond, your eyes are light, you get sun burnt often, you never tan but often go red: you are phototype 1 and you should use SPF50+ sun protection.
- • If your hair is strawberry-blond to chestnut, you have some freckles, you get sun burnt sometimes and you only tan a little and very slowly: you are phototype 2 and you should use SPF50, then a SPF30 sun cream.
- • If your hair is chestnut or brown, your eyes are dark, you get sun burnt and you tan slowly: you are phototype 3 and you should use SPF30.
- • If your hair is brown or black, your eyes are dark, you get sun burnt occasionally and you tan well: you are phototype 4, and you should use SPF20.
- • If your hair is black, your eyes are dark, you rarely get sun burnt and you tan a lot: you are phototype 5 and you should use an average protection of SPF20.
- • If your hair is black, your eyes are dark and you very very rarely burn, you should use SPF 10.
Also think to protect your lips and your hair, they are sensitive to UV rays too!
